Council on Aging was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1971.
What is your primary product or service?
We administer state and county programs providing services that help older adults remain independent in their homes. Services such as Meals on Wheels, housekeeping help, emergency response devices, home modifications, and transportation to medical appointments help seniors avoid unnecessary placement in nursing homes.
As the Area Agency on Aging for 5 counties in SW Ohio, we are also a central and unbiased source of information and connection to community resources for seniors, caregivers, families, and professionals in the field of aging.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are designated by the state of Ohio as the Area Agency on Aging for 5 counties in Southwestern Ohio (Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, Warren) As such, we administer federal, state, and local programs that help older adults stay in their homes. Services through these programs are offered free of charge or at affordable rates to eligible seniors.
