What is your primary product or service?
We install 5, 6 and 7-inch gutters. We also install 4 types of gutter guards, including Gutter Rx perforated aluminum, LeaFree solid gutter covers, LeafLock and MasterShield micro mesh gutter guards.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I met a patent attorney who developed and manufactured a gutter guard. I was intrigued by it, so I bought some to install on my house. It worked so well at keeping leaves and debris out of my gutters that I asked him if I could sell the gutter guards to local hardware stores. That led me to setting up an online website where we sold the gutter guards to homeowners across the United States. Homeowners began asking if we would install the gutter guards, so we began offering that service in 1997.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our focus is fixing gutter and water problems. We offer a 7-step assessment that allows us to determine what would be the best solutions for whatever gutter and water issues homeowners are facing. Our focus on fixing problems is what differentiates us, believe it or not. Most companies in our space are simply interested in selling a product. We offer several styles and sizes of gutters and leaf guards at different price points with the objective of fixing gutter and water problems right the first time.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We service greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana from our Cincinnati location. We also have offices in Dayton, Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio, so we cover then entire State of Ohio and surrounding regions, including Pittsburgh, Detroit and Indianapolis.
